Deeper Together

This White Paper distills Project Zero’s learnings about promoting inquiry, autonomy, and collaboration to advance deeper learning within a network of low-cost schools in Peru. Focusing on collaborative research conducted in 2021 with coaches and academic coordinators, it shares the favorable conditions and challenges participants encountered as they sought to enact pedagogical change; effective tools, activities, and practices in this work; and advances in participants’ thinking and practices over time. The paper will be of interest to teachers and other educational leaders working in a variety of contexts, including contexts where it may be challenging to promote or scale deeper learning practices.
