Envisioning Innovation in Education
Investigating inquiry, innovation, and learning design practices to affect local and system-wide change.
The Envisioning Innovation in Education project has been established to promote and investigate the practices of inquiry, innovation, and learning design amongst a cohort of educators and a team of school principals representing a diverse array of learning environments. This initiative connects schools to innovations in education to inspire new approaches to practice, and ignite local and system-wide change.
Funded by the Catalyst Education Lab, a multi-year initiative was launched to change the education landscape throughout Hong Kong by leveraging Project Zero’s long history of professional development, pedagogical innovation, and collaborative inquiry. In 2024, the Envisioning Innovation in Education project released a new book featuring in depth pictures of practice that highlight school-based inquiry and innovation projects from 11 Hong Kong schools, lessons learned along the way, and a host of teacher-tested tools and resources designed to support the process of envisioning and inquiring about innovation.
