Lida Asilyan is an emerging education researcher and practitioner with a background in international education and oral history, and expanding interests in education technology and teacher professional development. She holds an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Analysis from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BA in English and Communications from the American University of Armenia.

Lida has co-led AI literacy initiatives in Armenia, including generative AI trainings for teachers through the U.S. Embassy, instructional design for FAST Foundation’s national AI Camp, and comparative research for its proposed Bachelor’s in AI program. Her research experience includes oral histories of women’s health and displacement with the JustHeal Lab at Memorial University, trauma-informed education and grant development with the Association for Trauma Outreach and Prevention (ATOP) MeaningfulWorld, and oral history documentation with U.S. and Armenian organizations.

Before graduate school, she advised students at EducationUSA Armenia and coordinated alumni programs for American Councils. Outside of work, she is passionate about journalism, writing, and hiking Armenia’s mountain trails.
