Art Works at Work
Examining the effect of student art displays on organizations and leaders
Art Works at Work is an initiative exploring an arts-based approach to organizational development in partnership with the staff at Independent Schools Victoria, a support organization for independent schools in Victoria, Australia. Research was done on the impact of the organization's visual arts collection of student artwork on board members and co-workers with diverse roles in the organization, who experience the student artwork as part of their workplace environment. The student art may have been used as a starting point for art-based conversations structured to reveal the power of bringing multiple voices together to explore complex problems and ideas and to help build an organizational culture of creativity and collaboration.
