This workshop presents a variety of procedures, routines, and tools that teachers have found effective in supporting learners to self-manage their civics projects. In this workshop, you will reflect on your current practice and explore tools to help you take the next steps in making the civics project a “student-led” learning experience in your classroom.
2 hours; 3 PDPs

- Feb. 1, 2024 (via Zoom); 4-6pm
Self-paced Online Learning: “Next Level” Student-Led Civics Projects: Beyond the Basics
This learning series looks at three areas commonly identified by teachers as challenges in facilitating the student-led civics project: supporting student-led research; connecting with decision-makers and stakeholders; and showcasing students’ work. In these self-paced sessions, you will explore resources and examples of practice and develop resources to use in your classroom. Join the course on your own or work together with colleagues who have also registered.
