Beyond PZ

Prior to joining PZ in 2025, Ryan navigated the worlds of both formal and informal education, working as a middle-school special educator at the Amos A. Lawrence school in Brookline and as a Philosophy for Children coordinator in the greater Boston area. Ryan holds an Ed.M. in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.S. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Northeastern University.

Outside of PZ, he continues to be keen on work that ties education and philosophical inquiry together, particularly the world of Philosophy for Children.
