Matthew Riecken

Matthew Riecken is the Senior Manager, Digital Learning Design for Project Zero's Learning and Outreach unit. With over 15 years of experience in educational technology and web application development, Matt brings a builder's mindset to everything he does — from connecting backend systems through custom scripts and APIs to designing and developing custom EdTech tools that make research accessible and engaging.

At Project Zero, Matt is a core member of the Reach team, where he collaborates closely with researchers to help translate their work into online courses and professional learning offerings for educators around the world. He finds deep satisfaction in bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and well-designed digital experiences that practitioners can apply in their everyday work.

Matt holds an Ed.M. in Technology, Education, and Innovation from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Outside of work, you can find him behind a camera capturing the night sky and spending time with his kids.
