Background

Founder and executive director of the Pittsburgh Teaching and Learning Collaborative, Jeff Evancho attended his first Project Zero ClassroomPZ's annual instituteover a decade ago. He returned to Pittsburgh buzzing with ideas and inspiration, calling PZC the chicken soup for his soul. Jeff was so catalyzed by the learning, culture, and community he experienced in Cambridge that he decided to create his own PZ hub for his school district. He and his colleagues built an ecosystem of friend groups, after-school programs, and, eventually, a conference. Now in its fourth year, Learning and Thinking That Make a Difference has welcomed hundreds of educators, school leaders, museum teachers, and more. Jeff says, "Good teaching and learning has compound interest."
