Event Details

There are numerous ways to engage young people with science or STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), especially in informal science learning. Through hands-on experimentation, narratives whether in storybook form or as children’s media viewed on television or digital devices, young people may often be attracted to the notion of ‘doing’ science for themselves, and even becoming a scientist. But do we need to mention the word ‘science’, and what role does the family have to play?

Project Zero warmly invites you to bring your lunch and join us on Wednesday, October 5, from 12:30pm-2:00pm in the Project Zero offices on the fourth floor of Longfellow Hall for a Brown Bag Lunch session with visiting researcher, Sai Pathmanathan in which she will explore Family Science Engagement and Learning Through Storytelling and Children’s Media.
