Ben Blanco

He/Him
PZ Doctoral Fellow

Ben Blanco draws on qualitative methods to study how youth migrants and youth in communities with out-migration imagine their future and how schools shape their views of the future. His current project focuses on the experiences of youth in Northern Colombia and youth from the same region who have migrated to Massachusetts. Broadly, Ben is interested in how schools can support young people's well-being over time.

Before starting his doctoral studies, Ben was a high school teacher in Boston Public Schools, where he served as a Knowles Teacher Fellow, working to improve math and science instruction with a national cohort of fellows.
