Cortney Evans is a research assistant on the Creating Communities of Innovation (CCI) research initiative, a collaboration between Project Zero and schools from the GEMS Education network in the United Arab Emirates. She is currently a doctoral candidate for a PhD in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, concentrating in Culture, Institutions, and Society. She is focusing her doctoral study on using social networks and organizational behavior as lenses to understanding teacher development and practices. She holds an EdM in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and BAs in Economics and International Relations from UNC Chapel Hill. Prior to commencing doctoral study, Cortney was a Data Manager for an Achievement First Charter School in New Haven, CT. She also has field research experience in Mukono, Uganda and Rajasthan, India.
