Out of Eden Learns

In January 2013, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Paul Salopek set off on foot from the cradle of humankind -- the Rift Valley of Ethiopia -- to walk for seven years across the world along the pathways of the first human migration out of Africa. With support from the Abundance Foundation, Project Zero is creating an international, online learning community around Paul's journey for middle and high school students. Students will follow Paul's journey for middle and high school students. Students will follow Paul's walk and carry out their own foot-level reporting. They will also investigate contemporary global issues, reflect on how their own lives fit into the unfolding story of human history, and consider big questions about the nature of learning today.
